In Channel 8 Hello Singapore’s interview with NIEC City Lead Lecturer Dr. Hong Qiu Yun, Dr. Hong stressed the importance of preparing both children and parents for the transition from preschool to primary school. She highlighted emotional readiness, social skills development, fostering independence, establishing routines, and maintaining open communication as key factors. In her interview, Dr. Hong also suggested many techniques for parents to help children develop a strong sense of self-discipline and emotional readiness to welcome the changes of Primary One.
