Dr Siti Shaireen Selamat, Dean of Faculty & Leadership Development at NIEC HQ, was featured in a news segment discussing ECDA’s initiatives to enhance preschool teachers’ capabilities on outdoor education. The segment aired on Channel News Asia on April 28, 2024.

In the interview, Dr. Siti shared that effective outdoor learning occurs when young children utilise their imagination in the natural environment around them. These environments can be as simple as a patch of grass, basketball court, or dedicated garden for growing vegetables. Such natural spaces stimulate children’s creativity, allowing them to learn about the world and develop holistically.
